Trust & Safety

SchoolAI works with students. That shapes every product decision we make: what we build, what we won't build, and how we hold ourselves accountable.

Explore our principles, compliance certifications, accessibility commitments, privacy documentation, and impact evidence. We publish them because effective AI in education is built on public trust.

Zero Data Retention with every AI provider

Your students' conversations power their learning inside SchoolAI. They never become anyone else's data.

SchoolAI operates under Zero Data Retention agreements with every AI provider in our stack, including Anthropic, Google, and OpenAI. When a student conversation is processed by a model, the provider handles it in short-term memory and immediately discards it. Nothing is written to disk at the provider, and none of it is used to train models.

SchoolAI itself retains the data your district generates for one purpose: so each student can receive personalized learning experiences. We never use it to train AI models, we never sell it, and your district can have it deleted on request, per student or in full.

Common Questions

Zero Data Retention means the AI providers that process SchoolAI conversations store none of that data. It exists in the provider’s memory only for the moment of processing, then it’s discarded. It is never written to disk and never used to train their models.

No. SchoolAI retains the data your district generates in the platform so each student can receive personalized learning experiences. That data stays under your district’s control, with deletion available on request in line with FERPA and COPPA. Zero Data Retention describes the layer underneath: the AI providers themselves retain nothing.
